Blooms. Showy flowers in summer range
from light pink to red.

Landscape Use: Burgundy leaves and pink or
red flowers make this small
shrub a nice accent in any yard.

Comments: Flowers attract hummingbirds
and butterflies. This plant is tougher
than it looks.
Maintenance: Prune for size and shape directly
after flowering, when needed. Other
wise remove 1/3rd of old canes
every 3-5 years to encourage new
growth and flowers.

Maximum Elevation: 7000ft.

Not deer resistant.

Comments: These are the most fragrant
        of the lilacs and don’t sucker like some
        of the larger varieties.
Maintenance: ATTENTION!
        To be pruned when needed directly after
        blooms have faded to ensure the formation
        of flower buds

(vintage Bridal Veil).  Blooms form more of a
panicles or fountain effect.

Maintenance: Prune after flowering, do not shear.
