Howell’s Dwf. Spruce

Howell’s Dwf. Spruce
Picea bicolor ‘Howell’s Dwarf Tiger Tail‘

Evergreen Tree

Size:
Height 3-5’ Books say up to 12‘?
Spacing 4-6’ Books say up to 10’?

Sun: Part shade/shade
Water: Regularly,
Needle Drop: Low

Landscape Use: Focal point or accent
Comments: A real conundrum. Needles
change color into winter,
and it has a great shape.
I use as an alternative to
Globe Spruce,hoping that
it will not get as large as the
books state. So far they have
proven to be very slow growing.

Maximum Elevation: 6000 ft.
Mostly deer resistant
