Dianthus


Dianthus

Perennial

Size:
‘First Love’- 6-8” x 8-12“
‘Firewitch’:  6-8” x 8-12“
‘Flashing Lights’:  8-10” x 12“
‘Zing Rose’: 4-6” x 8-12”

Water: Low to moderate (needs to be dry between
waterings)
Blooms:  Times vary but generally from late
              spring through July.

 Landscape Use:  Hard to find pink flowers
bloom in shades from pink to magenta to red.

Comments:  Can take a lot of sun will grow in
sand or clay. Beware the Dianthus barbatus is a
Biannual (Only blooms one year then reseeds)

Maintenance: Perennial dianthus may be evergreen
and not require any cutting back in fall. Dead head
to repeat bloom same year but not required.

Maximum elevation: 8000 ft. (First Love-10,000)
