Butterfly Bush

Buddleia davidii

Deciduous Shrub

Size:
Height   5-7’
Spacing 5-6’

Sun: Full Sun / Light Shade
Water: Medium water.
Blooms. Large flower spikes bloom in
             July-September.   Available in white,
             pink, blue, purples.  The Tri-color
             Butterfly Bush has white, pink and purple
            flowers all on the same bush!

Landscape Use: Will attract butterflies
                            such as the tiger swallowtails
                            and also hummingbirds. Blooms
                            later than most shrubs.                               
                               
Comments: Blooms have a fragrant honey scent.
                            When not in bloom, the shrub has
                    average-looking grey-green leaves.
                    For best results, cut back the shrub in
                    fall or spring.
Maintenance: Can be treated as a perennial
                            and cut to the ground in fall or
                            Spring (or as desired)
       
Maximum Elevation: 7500 ft.
Deer Resistant
